Sean Nimmons, M. Mus., is a Toronto-based pianist, composer, and producer who has forged a dynamic career at the intersection of live performance and cinematic storytelling.  As a performer, Sean's jazz roots have led him to international stages and historic collaborations, including performing at Massey Hall for the Oscar Peterson at 100 celebrations, and accompanying astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield for Canada’s historic space-to-earth live sing-along. 

Sean is currently preparing to add to his extensive recorded catalogue with a new original album this fall, expanding on his unique blend of rich musical heritage and contemporary composition. His musicianship is anchored by his work as the arranger, producer, and pianist for The Nimmons Tribute. The acclaimed jazz octet’s releases (Vol. 1 - To The Nth and Vol. 2 - Generational) earned widespread praise and global airplay, beautifully bridging his grandfather Phil Nimmons' iconic legacy with Sean's modern musical voice.

Sean is backed by a 15-year career as a prolific screen composer and studio force. He has scored over 50 films and series for major global networks including Netflix, PBS, CBC, and The Hallmark Channel, and his versatile production work includes co-producing the Juno Award-winning Stella and Sam Album. An honors graduate of Humber College with a Master of Music from the University of Toronto, Sean continues to grow his artistic legacy from the bandstand to the studio.
